136199 Eris, commonly just known as Planet Eris among Erisians, is the ninth most massive object orbiting the Sun. It is situated in the Scattered Kuiper Belt. It is named after Eris, the Goddess of Chaos.

Eris has one moon, called Dysnomia, named after Dysnomia, the daemon of Lawlessness.
